Hiram, we will have to agree to disagree on your points. What if there was a takeover offer for WSTL for a substantial amount of money? We both know CSCO and Lucent want to acquire more companies.

ADSL is a rapidly emerging field on the cusp of an explosion. I can think of many more companies (e.g. Amazon) that would be good short candidates than one in this field.

We have very different opinions on the potential future success of WSTL. It comes down to whether you believe in ADSL and other xDSL technologies, or think other transmission forms will be prevalent. I am an ardent believer that ADSL will be rolled out enmass within 2 years.

As for market caps--gee--at what price did CSCO purchase Stratacom? These companies can be grabbed up at a moments notice for lots of money.

To each his own.
