We have two sons.............we are extremely happy. Been married for 31 yrs. After the second son was born, my father said that we "have a throw away." Some people thought that was a cruel thing to say. I immediately knew what he was trying to say.

I don't think my happiness would have been less had we only had one child, but I'll never know. I was happy with one, I was happy with two. I was happy to be able to have a child. I would not be be happy if I did not have a child.

I hoped for a girl, but not this time around. The fact that I did not have a girl makes me a little sad.

These emotions are uncontrollable and universal I think?
