Melinda certainly has the better trained voice, but the term "singer" encompasses more than voice. Performance, passion, and visual appeal are among the metrics, too. Melinda's performances are technically outstanding, but Jordin does a better job of selling a song. Last night, Melinda was dazzling but clinical, while Jordin's rendition of Broken Wings brought tears to my eyes, and, if you noticed, to hers as well. That's how much passion she put into it.
