Of course, it didn't. You seem bent on making that point.

The present bill is working much better than anyone expected. We know from VA experience with forced negotiation that price controlling it will result in a smaller formulary by the system. They will get only the older drugs. That's what the VA gets.

I gather you are prepared to offer evidence for all these assertions. Please go right ahead.

But let's take the very last item and, for the moment, while I wait for some evidence, let's assume you are right.

If so, the best way to approach it is to suggest modifications in the pricing proposals. It will, in fact, make drugs more affordable and, hopefully, make the process for getting coverage more understandable. If critical drugs are left uncovered, there are ways to introduce new legislation to cover them.

Hardly a deal breaker.
