Ish, I think you are around my age. Do you remember when we were young there were nearly NO gun controls. In fact you could strap 45's on your waist and walk down mainstreet with no legal problem. As I recall you only needed a permit if you carried those pistols CONCEALED. Today, you are ONLY allowed to carry concealed weapons IF you have a permit and never allowed to wear them OPENLY. I dont recall the problems we have today. Course most of the immigrants in those days were of European descent, at least in the East. jdn
