The IRA never went to the lengths that palestinians have. Most irish folks though sympathetic to the goals, deplored the terror tactics which by todays standards dont rate honorable mention in comparison to the Pals, islamists, iraq. More folks probably died in iraq yesterday at the hands of terrorists than during the entire IRA saga. I always make the case that althought most pals hate israel and want her dead will bite the peace bullet if they can be assured of a better life for themselves and their kids.. So i am with you about the pursuit of peace. But comparing this process to ireland is a bit naive. You are aware that there are folks who appear on this thread who do not feel arabs, pals, islamists, thugs, redeemable at all.
