do you just possibly think that adult students with an urgent warning that a double homicide occured and the shooter was still on the loose would have the smarts to hustle back to their dorms or get off campus?

you don't question the logic of holding classes as usual after such an event?

you don't think that that act alone create a false sense of security in the faculty and students?

what pisses me off is the attitude that because EVERYTHING couldn't have been done somehow justifies that little or nothing was done in a timely way

unclewest's 'quote of the day' was nothing more than a weaseling attempt at the press conference (which i watched in entirety live) when asked about why wasn't more done AT THE TIME of the first two killings, to diffuse culpability of the police by saying basically we, meaning the police, can't be everywhere for everyone....as IF that was ever a realistic expectation of anyone, iow set an impossibly high standard and then stand there and excuse oneself for not meeting it...conveniently taking the focus off of how you royally f'd up doing what you COULD have REALISTICALLY done

the fact that the killer was picking off students and faculty one by one WHILE there was a heavy police presence on campus 'investigating' should sicken everyone
