Yup! All of those issues are tough to hit the right balance on privacy rights & the rights of everyone else. Right now it seems privacy rights in those instances are too strongly in favor of the individual. Don't get me wrong. Individual rights should be vigorously defended. In circumstances similar to those you described however, when protecting the rights of those individuals puts other innocent, unsuspecting individuals at risk, I have to wonder why those unsuspecting individuals aren't adequately protected.
