Doubt it, Tim. Except for 3rd world dictatorships, people in the government are generally hired based on their competence. Unlike the vast majority of the Bush appointees. If you've read the emails released by the DoJ, the latest USA attorneys have been hired based on idealogical reasons, membership in the Federalist Society and their personal connections. Their track record as attorneys never seem to have come up. Which is good because many of them have had undistinguished records. That has been the case with many other appointees. George Deutsch, for example. Brown with FEMA. The list goes on...
