Do you always buy the upstrike before selling the call? 1/4 to 1/2 seems very low for far-in-future options, even if the price is unlikely to be attained. Wouldn't such options carry premiums in several dollars? If you plan to sell a 37.5 call on stk you own, then beore the 40 call gets expensive , try to buy it at 1/4 to 1/2.
