Well, with people like Harry Reid saying that "We've lost the war in Iraq"....it certainly doesn't help anything. They can't/won't get the funding bill to GWB that he can sign, I just heard that 40% of the requested "Surge" soldiers aren't in Iraq yet....and the AQ factions are behind many of the truck bombings, pitting the Sunnis and the Shia against each other....(as if they needed any more help....) Swell. Just swell. It's hard enough to win a war...any war, with your own people behind you....but when a so called "leader" of Dems comes out as a Senator and says "We've lost the war".....and we out here in hinterland, see NO effort to get the funding handled.... WHY should any right minded person even think of joining the military? Where's the funding, and Where's the support from the Americans?
