to whit, the first thing out of the mouths of gun lovers after hearing about VA Tech was to point out that had more students carried guns less students would have died. That's not less civilized. Its just pointing out the truth. Leaving people disarmed and helpless so that they are killed isn't very civilized. Tim, sorry, but you're bit off on this subject too. People don't want to live like you all want us to. Its going backwards, not forwards. Its less civilized......in fact, its downright scary. We aren't going backwards. Yes, we are. The overall trend in violent crime is down. It was for a while.....not any more. Also even if we were, "So who can blame the Muslims for doing their part in making the world less civilized", would be a ridiculous statement. If the trend was bad, making it worse is still a bad thing. You know Tim, I hate to say this but America was the birthmother for Iraq, and like they say, the acorn doesn't fall far from the tree.
