The unified executive idea, taken in isolation, isn't the whole thing. Just that it, taken with the rest, shows very fascist leanings. Fascism isn't a single principle, although the infallible leader is an important aspect. But a collection of things that describe. So, while the unitary executive might normally be an uncomfortable centralization of power, it might not be a big deal. "Yes, but you seem to ignore them in the context of discussions of fascism and/or totalitarianism. " No, I am not. Fascism is a particular breed of totalitarianism. Which is why talking about FDR's recovery efforts, or even Nixon, is, at best, a red herring.
