There's one point at which some people would be stopped- if the system in place actually worked the way it should. If the mental health professionals had treated and monitores the patient properly- another point where he could be stopped. Bullying seems to create these types of people; reduce that and you reduce their creation. Change the commitment laws, make it more easy to keep people on 48, 72 and extended holds. This can be done consistent with civil liberties, I think. You live in such a dream world. None of these are of any use against these type of people. Crazy people are very electable in some districts. Dennis Kucinich got into Congress. If we could jail anti-social loners, Ralph Nader would already be there. Why don't you add prayer? You know, drop to your knees and assume the position while he puts a bullet into the back of your head.
