I'm banned on that thread - they can't handle the truth.

On the Supreme's abortion decision, I heard a doctor on NPR explain that this just means that a more risky procedure called "dilation and extraction" will have to be used in the second trimester in place of the "partial birth abortion" (which isn't a medical term). She said that the vast majority of abortions are performed in the first trimester, so we aren't talking about a lot anyway. The whole thing is a phony, Terry Shiavo-type pander to the weepy fetus lovers.

She also said that this was the first time that medical practice had been dictated by politics with no exceptions for the health of the woman involved, and thought that it was a dangerous precedent.

She said that probably no more children would be born due to the ruling, but more women would be injured and perhaps die.
