Thank you for posting, I also have been wearing a bottom and top splint for 1 year and have it adjusted monthly. There has been no positive changes. I am seeing a specialist that treats tmj, headaches and facial pain, and of course it is all out of pocket expense (cost me $10,000 so far as to the car insurance $$ has run out and the guy who hit me had no insurance). Two weeks ago my D.D.S gave me a steroid injection into the joint, there was a 50/50 chance on the injection working but it did not. That is when he referred me to a surgeon for a consult, I have not gone yet. I am afraid of the outcome and of course another hugh expense. Thank you again.
