4/20/07 Update
Both the Nasdaq Biotech Index and the Contest portfolios continued their march higher, with the NBI being a somewhat better performer this week. At Friday's close, the NBI was up 4.76% YTD (vs. up 3.13%% YTD a week ago) while the median for the 31 portfolios edged up to a 9.06% YTD gain (vs. up 8.79% YTD a week ago). When the closing bell chimed, as was the case last week, 23 of the 31 Contest portfolios were in the black and 20 of the 31 were beating the NBI.
PGONEIL held on to first place, but just barely. His portfolio is now up 28.0% YTD, a hair ($95 to be exact) above the 27.9% YTD gain for Fred's portfolio, which had another COR-based bounce. 8 of the 31 Contest portfolios are currently showing YTD gains above 20%.
Now it's time for my preparatory nap before I head for the biofreak beer bash in SF.
Have a super weekend everyone!
