Let's just say that they never believed in the power of "positive reinforcement."

Funny how a lot of parenting methods once considered acceptable just a few decades ago is now considered abuse. Even some in California now want to make spanking illegal.

You would think that with such sophistication in parenting these days, combined with advances in child psychology, that we'd be raising perfect young boys and girls, no?
