Results of covering all shorts: (except Officemax which is in PofQ not in my paper trading account) RHD lost $220 DNA lost $40 ERTS gained $400 GOOG lost $375 Net net, plus commissions, lost ~$300 say. Not nearly as awful as I expected thanks to ERTS. I do these paper trades by eyeballing a guestimate price around 9am pdt. Even when I do real trades I am on and off the computer in less than ten minutes, usually around that time in the morning. Not off to a great start. (This is a three month experiment which runs concurrently with the real $40k being locked up in short term certificates of deposit). $39.7k cash now
