NOt at all, Lindy. And that reply was unworthy of you.
What I am pointing out is that you were refusing to acknowledge that there is a valid discussion about the merits and the problems that accompany a decision to arm anyone and everyone- several of which I mentioned in my post.

I am not asking for some "government program" to protect anyone. It;s that kind of spurious slur that completely obliterates the validity of your pov. Personally I believe that there are always going to be the Chos of the world who slip through any net we put in place. We happen to be friends with some of the Hinckley family. They are wonderful people, who tried everything to help their son. Sometimes there is just nothing to be done.

But I do not believe that arming young people is the answer.
Frankly, the idea of college students armed is frightening to me. They are still adolescents, and the adolescent brain is not fully developed. Some of the reasons have been raised at Center about the possible complications of this. Instead of addressing them, you have been reduced to insults and assumptions that just aren't accurate. These are not simplistic solutions, such as "A gun could have prevented this."

Do not reduce me to some "refusal to face facts" position. All you do is stifle exchange, and make your own position weaker.
