Very interesting. It was too long for me to read it all word for word, but I scanned it and read the sections of interest to me. I am a Florida Resident with a Concealed Weapons Permit. Though not required to take an approved NRA training course (as a veteran) I elected to take it mainly to gain information regarding the law (they give out a booklet in these courses that lists the law, go over the law and actually test at the end knowledge of the law). I found the course very beneficial. In total, it cost me $131 for my permit which included the course, photo for ID, Fingerprinting at local police department and the filing fee. Its good for 5 years and when renewed costs far less as only have to pay the renewal fee. For anyone to think that I a LAW ABIDING citizen is more dangerous having such a permit then a Felon who carries in spite of the law is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. I believe that is EVERY qualified citizen were armed we would have practically zero violent crime. Criminals attack the weak and unprotected. The police today are TOTALLY UNPREPARED to protect ANYONE. They are reactive rather then proactive, to have it any other way would require a POLICE STATE which I doubt any of us wish to have. jdn
