Coughs- asthma related

I have had a problem with a cough for the last few weeks. Didn't know what it was- tried to wait it out, and drink lots of water, etc- but it got to the point where I was getting up at 1am because I didn't want to wake my husband up with my coughing. Not sleeping was a drag. So I went to the doctor. He said my symptoms were odd, no wheezing (which you would expect with asthma), a slight fever 99.8, and this feeling that a foot was stepping on my chest. Since my heart is great, we knew it wasn't that.

He prescribed Singulair and gave me some samples, and said if it was going to cure it, it would happen fast- and if it didn't, to come back and he'd start more testing. I woke up after taking the first one and the foot on my chest is gone. Nice feeling. :-) Anyway, just thought I'd share a Western Medicine success story, for a change. Sleeping again was nice.
