Again, the leap is made from concern over allowing a large number of guns to a very young, untrained group, on a campus the size of Va Tech , to my stripping away all guns from everyone.

The debate is a legitimate one, but when people don;t try to address the actual questions, but instead provide only emotional, defensive, insulting responses and make the argument about something it wasnt, there can be no debate.

Please - your statement is specious and we are not that naive.
Surly you don't really expect us to buy the notion that you only want to ensure that one single location in the USA is gun free.

And you are wrong.
The debate is not a valid one.

The second Amendment (along with the rest of the first ten) was ratified effective Dec 15, 1791.
It is about time folks of your ilk learned to live with it.

Let me give you one more example. On 9/11 there were no armed good guys on the aircraft. Today that has all changed and we have had no more of those tragedies. That result cannot be attributed to disarming more folks.

Lindy should be alarmed when a mild poster like me can cause such anger and defensiveness. It is not a healthy sign for a thread.
