Cindy Sheehan's group came and went from Greensboro, NC yesterday. Official police photographers were there taking pictures of all of them. Sheehan's group was quite timid and left nary a mark.

I counted approx 400 total not including a very large contingent of police, firemen and EMT personnel. The number seemed evenly divided between Sheehan's group and the Troop Support folks.

Larry Bailey, CPT (R), USNAV, SEAL, led the "Gathering of Eagles" contingent. It was a real pleasure to see Larry again.
I listened as Larry told his group that the chief of police was asking them to refrain from altercations. He then said, "The police didn't say anything about intimidation." Everyone appreciated that comment.

RLN had emailed me to expect the press to ignore our group and they pretty much did. For certain they were not interested in speaking with a gray-headed FOG wearing a Green Beret.

Personally I left feeling disappointed because I didn't have nearly as much fun as I had at the last anti-war rally I attended. That was in Dec 69 at Seattle Airport. Back then, the fun began immediately after a protestor spat on me.
