However, the one we all have in our minds is the one the principle Bush spokespeople iterated and reiterated on the national media. I live outside the USA, so I missed much of that. Goals weren't attained, if you prefer. Yeah, and I'd say it as 'some goals' weren't attained. Removal of Saddam's regime was a definite and often stated goal. The US was defeated in Iraq just sounds wrong. We're still watching the NBA playoffs and enjoying a stock market hitting record highs, which is nothing like being defeated in a war. Ask Saddam's regime.
