Hey Jane - Did I mention my son goes there ? He was off campus heading to a 10:15 class at the time. He didn't/doesn't know any of the victims or wounded, but like everyone else there, knows people who knows the victims/wounded. He like the other students were pretty pissed that he didn't get the alert until 9:30, which I'm not sure he even saw until after he got back to the townhouse he rents a room at. He didn't even call us, lol. Someone told my wife about the shooting ta 10:30 and she was able to get through to him about 5 minutes later. My wife and I spend a lot of Monday on the phone and responding to e-mails. But early notification wouldn't have changed the outcome -- just maybe would have changed who the victims were. The school is giving the students some options regarding how they can finish out the semester. My advice to him was to cut THE FACULTY (who have got to be absolutely devastated) some slack and give them one less student's work to process. So I think he's gonna go to class tomorrow, hang out with his friends for a few days, and then come back home. Chris
