"Kinda sad, really, how common domestic abuse is."

Remember, in about half of all homicides, the victim knows their killer. When you have a case like this, where the two had a fight and the girl's roommate knew the boyfriend has a gun, the odds go way up.

Random killings are pretty rare. Killings at holdups, likewise. Most of the homicides where the victim didn't know the killer are drug related, gang related or because of an argument that escalates too far. In the case of the first two shootings, without an eye witness, the logical choice was the boyfriend. Just like when someone's wife vanishes or shows up with several bullet holes. It almost never is some guys in a dented white van. It almost always is the husband. And the few cases where it actually is some guys in a dented white van, they usually are hired by the husband.
