Do you count Al Jazeera? They certainly count car bombings as "noble resistance". No skin off their nose if 100 Iraqi civilians just died.

You've heard them say their station's view of suicide Muslim on Muslim car bombings in Iraq is that they are an example of "noble resistance"? I'm skeptical. What loonies would resist US occupation by killing Iraqis? "Moron resistance" is more like it....
Are you referring to some pundit on Al Jazeera, or their station manager's editorial, or what? A cable news station generally reports the news, and doesn't make moral judgments on it.
As for why Liberals don't care, they have imbibed multiculturalism. One of the corollaries of multi-culti sensibilities is that you can only judge "your" side, not the other guy, whom you must presume to be equal to you even if he breaks all your rules, cause you can't judge him. But your own side, you can sure judge him. So the US is judged more responsible for the deaths of 1000s of Iraqis then the men who actually killed them.
I presume you don't consider yourself a liberal. In general, statements above are a waste of time where one party explains their interpretation of the beliefs of the opposing party, and then explains why those beliefs are bad ones to hold. I'd much rather hear it from the horse's mouth, so you express your views and let them express theirs. When you express theirs you probably get it wrong.
Find me a self declared "liberal" that will say they don't judge the Iraqi guy who drives the suicide car bomb into a crowd of Iraqi schoolchildren, and kills them all, to be a bad guy. If your assessment of liberals is at all accurate, they will all claim that the suicide car bomber is not a bad guy. So go ahead, find the liberals that hold that viewpoint. |
