Cyprian > Why are the phrases mazal tov and siman tov shouted at the end of the wedding ceremony, after the glass is broken by the groom? I know mazal tov means good luck but I had never heard siman tov. Thanks for the info. Of course, I'm no expert on this subject and I don't know when last I went to a Jewish wedding -- perhaps my own, 47 years ago!
