If the stock goes below $50, the stock repurchases may go into effect! I do not think the stock will go down below the $49 to $50 level because the stock is currently trading at 17 to 18 PE of earnings! Even if the company had flat earnings, the repurchases will bring the net income up at least 20% because of the repurches just as in the case of IBM as an example!!! IBM was sitting at a 12PE at $130 and stood there about a couple quarters, give or take 10 or 20 points either way. The revenue showed minimal growth, but the net earnings even took IBM to a 10PE. Then all of a sudden, IBM announces a stock split and goes to $200 (pre split) where they stand now around a 20PE!!! Adobe is coming out with new products, not to mention that they converted many software packages in the last 2 months to the Windows platform from MAC. This explains the surge in orders late in the quarter! Well, most likely this is still continuing currently THIS QUARTER!! And they are buying back 15 million shares in the next two years (7.5 million per year)!! Adboe also stated that this repurchase was IN ADDITION the the repurchases under the employee compensation plan! Bottom line, if you feel shakey about Adobe, GET OUT, otherwise you people should believe in your company because it's a good one and you obviously own it for being on this thread! Have some confidence in it and in time it will pay off tremendously!!! Angelo
