TH Barbosa voted league's sixth man award news.yahoo.com NEW YORK (Reuters) - Phoenix Suns' Leandro Barbosa was named winner of the NBA's sixth man award as the league's top reserve player on Monday. A native of Brazil, Barbosa received 578 of a possible 635 points, including 101 of 127 first place ballots, leaving San Antonio Spurs' Manu Ginobili a distant second with 269 points. Dallas Mavericks' Jerry Stackhouse was third with 210. Coming off the bench in 62 of 80 games this season, Barbosa averaged 18.1 points, 4.0 assists and 2.7 rebounds. He posted career highs in scoring, assists, steals, three-point field goals made and minutes played. Barbosa scored 20 or more points in 33 games this season, surpassing his total from his first three seasons combined (13).
