do you follow the China stocks?>>>>

I have been trading Chinese ADR's since 04, when I first bought PTR after I learned Buffet had a large stake.

More recently, I bought an interesting hotel company (ticker HMIN) on the day of the IPO back in November at 22 sold it a couple months later at 45, stock got a little too frothy for me.

Currently have a large position in CHL, average cost in the 43 range. Has been languishing lately, but holding on for a pop when they list on the Shanghai Exchange.

Regarding my overweight position in the stock, my rationale is simple: if you can find another company that is adding 5 million customers a month, has a defacto monopoly with another 1 billion potential customers, and is growing 20% annually with a reasonable valuation, buy it. Not unlike buying AT&T in the early 20th century, without the threat of antitrust litigation.
