CJ, I remember Scumbria arguing for the abolition of the 2nd Amendment.

His logic was very simple. Less guns, less gun violence. He didn't accept the "nuance" that criminals would still have access to guns while law-abiding citizens wouldn't, because to him, it was all about reducing overall gun violence.

Personally, I don't see how the "middle ground" is going to help any in the battle over gun control. Once the next tragedy comes around, we'll be asking ourselves once again whether guns are too easily obtained (or whether too few people are allowed to carry guns into the classroom/workplace/airplane/shopping mall/etc.)
