With no disrespect to our Seniors, by whom many of the best things of the Country were built....the recent passage of Medicare Part D (drugs) was a huge increase to Medicare. It was the biggest since the creation of the program itself.

The cost of the Part D premium in no way covers the average senior's drug benefits received.

And, sadly, the funding for this huge expansion of government (something conservatives used to rail against) is underfunded to to the tume of hundreds of billions of dollars.

For seniors, a great new program (although I could argue about its structure and lack of price discipline)...for younger workers....something they will pay for down the road wither with higher taxes, a weaker dollar or a lower standard of living...maybe all of the above.
