Looks like Ryerson might be receiving a buyout offer from Apollo Management:

"Ryerson Inc. surged Monday after a story in Crain's Chicago Business said an asset of private-equity firm Apollo Management L.P. offered to buy the metals distributor and processor.

Shares jumped $2.98, or 7.3 percent, to $43.75 in afternoon trading on the New York Stock Exchange, after hitting a 52-week high of $44.45 earlier in the session. The stock previously traded in a 52-week range between $19.60 and $42.29, and is up 62 percent since the start of the year."

I bought my shares 10/04 @$16.34, and intend to hold until I see if offer is definite.
