Today I attended a function that was related to the medical research field. The keynote speaker made a broad and bold statement about five diseases he thinks will be either cured or have great progress toward a cure. I hope he is correct. He told us that we might think he's crazy, but the field of mathematics will enable a process that, when combined with molecular engineering knowledge, will result in a vaccine therapy for the following diseases: Cancer, Alzheimer's, coronary artery disease,Aids and Avian Flu................he claimed they are close to announcing an Avian Flu vaccine. I hope this man is correct.............he is a heavyweight in the industry of biotech. We will all wait and see what happens. He told us all to keep track of his claims!
