"Gun Free Zones" and "Zero Tolerance" rules are failures.

At one time I thought "zero tolerance" of street drugs was a good idea, but it's been bastardized so badly that my niece got suspended for having Tylenol in her purse. My theory was that the lefties wanted Zero Tolerance to fail, so they administered it inflexibly and without common sense. Now I'm not so sure.

I don't know why administrators can't distinguish between bad street drugs, crack, cocaine, weed, and so forth, and legitimate drugs that you can buy at the 7-11. But it seems beyond their capabilities.
