You know, it's not really a fact. It's just a way of viewing certain events.

Well, it's undisputable that there was a war between the coalition which attempted to remove the Saddam Hussein-led Iraqi government from power, and the Saddam Hussein-led Iraqi government which tried to resist their removal, right? Missiles and tanks were involved, uniformed soldiers fought and died on both sides, bullets were exchanged, prisoners were captured, you know, the stuff that happens in a war.

How can you view the war between the coalition forces and the regime of Saddam Hussein, and conclude anything other than a win for the coalition and a loss for Saddam's regime? One of those two sides no longer exists. What "way of viewing" those events leads to a different conclusion?

It's sort of like arguing that Mike Tyson didn't beat one of his opponents in some match because Mike Tyson's finances were a mess three years later. Defeating his opponent wasn't really a win for Mike depending on your "way of viewing events"?
