We might agree on the methodology too. I never bought into neocon stuff until after serbia seemed to work so well. I was always skeptical of nation building before iraq. We will never know if this could have worked with a more competent admin in place. Colin Powell said 500k troops and other laid out an extensive nation building program. For me i sensed we were in trouble when the looting began and the ammo dumps lay unattended. So i think we agree on more than you think.

You are blind on israel though. There will be no unitary state. You need to get real on what a final solution will entail on both sides. If you do, we could settle it. Dont fall into that anti-zionist trap that the only solution is one-state. Not going to happen in our grandchildrens lifetime. What we should strive for is regionalism post-peace treaties. Israel, Palestine and even Jordan should have joint policies on water, regional developement, capitalism etc.
