These tree huggers have absolutely NO idea what they're talking about. I spent a career in commercial printing. During that time I had occasion to visit both the Nekoosa Paper mill and the Consolidated Paper mills, both in Wisconsin. In the course of those visits we were driven out to their tree farms. This was one of the most impressive sights I've seen. Mile after mile of identical trees, evenly spaced, perfect in shape and in obvious perfect health. In between the bigger trees were younger, smaller trees. This is agriculture at its wisest. They produce every tree they harvest for the purposes of making paper. As they harvest, they replant anew. In the mill itself, every last scrap is tossed back in the hopper so not a chunk of sawdust is wasted. To believe the paper industry is depleting the number of trees on the planet is total nonsense.
