why do you say it works for little league and stuff?? I don't see it that way. Those are filled with corruption, cronyism, old boy stuff. I see the high schools have a more fair and level field

No more cronyism, corruption, and old boy stuff than high school and college division level administration. The difference is those that play and those that watch, pay. Those that don't, don't pay. Currently, athletics are paid out of everyone's pocket and arguably detract from the chief goal of schools to educate children.

In Berwick, PA for instance the Bulldogs are a national championship team that is basically the sole good produced by the town. The team members are exempted from class during training, and the school pours funds into the football team and field at the expense of education. My friends that went to school there had to share textbooks that were decades outdated, but the football team had new jerseys every year.

That's backwards.
