there are other countries that take a shot at the US - not by military means, but economic means...and its by fair means too..

China - look at balance of trade and how much US T-Bonds they have

India - look at the number of Indian companies that provide offshore services in the IT industry to US companies

Japan - Toyota just announced its the biggest car maker in the world, surpassing General Motors, and its biggest market was the US.

There are many more similar examples....
