Re: Sarkozy would turn France into a client state of the neocons, much in the same way that Silvio Berlusconi carried out the neocons' wishes in Italy and Jose Maria Aznar took their orders in Spain. Berlusconi and Aznar are now gone.

But France is already a "client state" of Wall Street because of her huge, snowballing debt --2,000 Billion euros... 30% of French blue chip corporations (CAC-40 index) are owned by US funds (be they pension funds, hedge funds,...).

As far as Berlusconi is concerned, he's still widely more popular than his chief rival Romano Prodi who owed his victory to a chancy political coalition stretching from the centre-right to the far-left....

As for Ségolène Royal, I'm still dubious about her ability to check the powerful Zionist lobby within her own party, namely, the Parti Socialiste, a stronghold of French jewry.... There was, in my opinion, another Socialist woman who was as equally qualified as Mme Royal to run for President: former Minister and Mayor of Lille Martine Aubry, the daughter of a revered French statesman, namely, Mr Jacques Delors (former President of the EU Commission).(*)

Unfortunately, there seems to be an unwritten rule in France's Parti Socialiste that forbids any non-Jewish leader to run for President --unless s/he is married to a Jew/ess... Hence Martine Aubry, a Catholic leftist like her father Mr J. Delors, didn't qualify. Contrariwise, the late François Mitterrand, who married a Jewess (Danielle Gouze) passed the "kosher test".

Likewise, the unfortunate former French PM, Lionel Jospin got the Parti Socialiste's nomination as a trusty Protestant married to a Jewess (Sylviane Agazinsky)... I guess the same "criterion" explains the (short-lived) rise of Socialist Jean-Pierre Chevènement, another presidential hopeful in the 2002 campaign --Mr Chevènement was married to Jewess Nisa Grunberg....

Hence my suspicion that Mme Royal's current partner (they aren't married but have lived together for the past 15 years and have had children) François Hollande is Jewish (since many Jews bear the names Hollande, Holland-er, Berlin-er, Oppenheim-er, Frankfurt-er, etc).

Then again, if Ségolène Royal manages to clinch some kind of alliance with François Bayrou then the powerful Zionist politicians at the helm of her Parti Socialiste (namely, Laurent Fabius, Dominique Strauss-Kahn,...) will be counterbalanced somewhat....
