my next door neighbor was homosexual, never mentioned it but later in life he joined the community in Atlanta , a lot of civil service jobs there seems to be hire them perhaps through net working. He ended up there after serving 2 years ,draft, in Army, in germany. Oh, i also asked him to be in my wedding. In his growing years, private education, his mother, widow, raised nine children, after h.s. he entered the priest hood, he came out after two years, completed college on his own and lots of loans, then master program another fortune. Nice guy, he would visit us throughout the years as his head got all screwed up tight. he would arrive a mess and leave quieted down, perhaps it was the chance to get back to be normal some what vs the crazy light he was living. We never discussed his situations other than financial, he used to give everybody financial help and of course he ended up never getting paid back. He died of aids several years ago.
Oh, we had nine boys in grades in grammar school, nice parish school. today , i can account for five of the nine boys later turned gay (i do not know at what age someone changes i doubt during early years there is any difference). One went on to naval academy , smart kid, easy to get along with, and good looking, four years after serving in the navy he was discharged, came home and his parents found him dead in the garage. He gassed himself to death. He must have been under some tremendous pressure. It was our loss. I have another friend through grammar and high school went on to Harvard , full scholarship, He now leads a tremendous charity group in a large metro area. I can go on with the others, one a professor in canada, one an early death after he moved away to avoid any pain to his family. All great guys. I do not see anything the matter with Rudy supporting gay community. I do see problems if gay community doesn't act responsible. |
