The two tests are here news.bbc.co.uk , the first one is expected to be answered by folks hoping to enter chinese universities, and the second may be answerable by folks who are in the first year of university in britain
britain may be ahead of the usa in math capability and capacity, by the looks of the state of economics and budget
hong kong is supposedly #1 in the world in math education, of course, but i fear my coconut ... well, come to think of it, erita's favorite toy, the one mom just got her after about 60 days of clamoring, is a toy cash register with cash box, credit card scanner, public announcement system, and the usual math functionalities
the coconut, soon to be at 31 months old, can count out any number of similar items / creatures from any page of the sesame book series, and can continue the reading of any key word (usually a noun) in any of her usual books should the reading adult stop at that key word - she reads about 10-15 books per day, some on her own, and others by nanny/mom/dad
she just 'passed' her interview at two kindergartens, and the interviewing teachers are surprised that she coconut can deal in english (preferred) and mandarin (should the adult fail to respond to english) whole sentences, as well as follow instructions to use a tong top pick out walnuts from one plate and move it to another
