how much Bono actually has given, financially to Africa. Oh, he is real serious about it, and I am sure has given millions. Overall, these musical charity events are real rackets. They have to pay the Bands scale, no freeby there, but they usually get most of the artists for nothing. If they do have to pay them, it's hidden from the public. The promoters are notorious for ripping off the take with charges before it even gets to the charity. I think most people are wise now to the "starving children" fraud. Remember Sam Kinison's Monologue back in 86 at one of these events: "You live in a DESERT, MOVE to the FOOD!!"
