Bob,

"Level 3 Comes Up Short"?

Not really. The story is far far from ending.

I am adding to my position.

Re: For those with an interest in Deutsche Bank's views

notrom,

This stock seems to be attached to reality with a rubber band. It is a difficult story to get to grips with, and what is happening today, I believe, is an ill informed reaction to some misleading headlines:

“Growth slows to 3%”—well it hasn’t slowed on a calendar adjusted basis-- this mirrors prior year experience and we are right on track to make the 17% annual target.

“FCF loss balloons”—well it hasn’t, that was working capital movements that will reverse through the year.

“Huge losses at the net income level”—who cares, they were caused by the debt redemption costs which was itself a good thing

“Q2 guidance is weak”—yes, because Q1 was strong because of timing issues. Overall we are on track to make guidance at the top end of the range for the first six months.

At the end of the day, unless you have a need to monetize your position, all this should be of little consequence and will correct itself in due course. In fact this probably represents a great entry opportunity. I expect the analyst reviews that come in tomorrow will go a long way to correcting the sort of knee jerk reaction we are seeing today.

p.s. you knew Miller had to reverse position at some point.
