Improve said electric car so that it gets 300-400 miles between charge-ups, reduce the cost of manufacturing said car, and decrease the time it takes to charge up the batteries at a charging station. Then we'll see the electric car take over without any government intervention. Like I said, I'm all for government-funded research to help make these improvements a reality, but I'm not for severely restricting the freedoms and lifestyles of Americans just because some people think oil is the root of all evil.
