Pro...I wish to heaven there were republican talking points (or should I say, conservative) talking points I could spout back at you...but your idol GWB has so fouled the well that the republicans are going to have a very difficult time holding on the the congressional seats they now have.

Historic conservative principles like smaller government, balanced budgets, refusal to intrude in personal/family affairs, caution in engaging in foreign entanglements....Your favorite Texan stands for none of those.

If I had some talking points that would cover those long-standing principles, I would be tossing them out, but when Barney Frank is the voice of libertarian values on internet gambling, I know the true conservatives in the republican party are lost in the woods somewhere.

You see everything as completely black and white. Whatever GWB says, you salute. If he hires hacks like Miers or Gonzales or Brownie, you get right in line and claim they are outstanding examples of public servants. When GWB nominated Miers to the Supreme Court you actually supported the nomination heart and soul!

Only GWB could still claim that Conzales cleared the air or did a good job in his testimony. His 72 failures to recall events of only a few weeks ago speaks well for his crackerjack legal mind. The President's statement of support caused even republican loyalist jaws to drop in disbelief.

But you don't care, do You? Gonzales is the annointed to GWB, so must not be questioned as to capability or competence.

9% of Republicans now consider themselves Bush Republicans according to a recent poll. You are right there! No trouble finding a seat at the meeting, is there?
