I think the Dems have the public support to end the war by refusing to fund it. Harry Reid suggested this might be the course they'd consider after a veto. I think all they need to do is to say, "We gave the President the funds with the conditions demanded by the American people, and he veto'd it." for all the political cover they need.

Whether they actually catch up with sentiment of the people is the question. For the people, this war is already OVER. They're getting impatient with the obstructionist pols..
